Hannah here: I thought i'd show you a few of my favourite snaps from a home currently out in Real Homes that Kristy and I shot together. On the surface, I absolutely loved this families love of colour, music and art; their home has all three in abundance. There are at least three sets of record decks at various points in the house and original art and prints everywhere you look. But below the surface, I particularly loved the story behind this one; how Hannah and Jonathan met and shortly afterwards discovered a surprise pregnancy, then took on a mammoth renovation together with the goal of creating a happy home (achieved x 100.) They also, slightly hilariously, have completely clashing tastes with one preferring traditional details and fixings etc and the other prerrfing ultra modern, but they've just about managed to combine the two, with a few bumps in the road along the way! They prove time and again that it's possible to have a practical family home that is also stylish, fun and design led. You can see more photo's and read more about the project in the magazine or here.
The story is available second rights via our agency, Narratives.
