I have been busy making a leafy, viney, herby, happy mess at home for weeks now, in preparation for my workshop with Stylist Magazine a few weeks ago then writing a step by step tutorial for the magazine (it was out last week) and also filming too (yet to be released). I am making these wreathes at my workshop with Sara this Saturday too, and I made a version of this workshop, as crowns, at Sisterhood Camp last week too. Phew! The Stylist magazine workshop sold out in minutes (gadzooks!) and a few of you contacted me for a blog tutorial so here it is!Read More
Hannah + Davina here: On Sunday the fruit of many months of planning, talking and bravery (!) came to fruition. Twelve friends met in the middle of a chilly, fog-shrouded, leaf blanketed park early on Sunday morning to have a herbal foraging walk, led by the brilliant Natasha Richardson. We learned about the properties of conkers, nettle leaf/root, and Hawthorn, amongst other things, whilst also tasting a tincture made from these elements and learning about the different health benefits of each specimen we found. It was fascinating to learn about all the many medicinal uses of so many common trees, plants and shrubs around us! We then retired to Davina's house to maker herbal bath tea bags and herbal wreathes, whilst eating homemade cake and cookies and drinking freshly brewed herbal tea. It was wonderful, and we are so thankful to the group of friends that came along to our first one.
We are super excited to launch these workshops! The first one will be in January- keep your eye on our event page for more details very soon! Sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear all about it.
