I am Hannah Bullivant; writer, stylist, mum, feminist and nature lover.
After living in London for 10 years, me, my husband Dave (a clever director) and our now 7 year old Frankie-Rose moved from Brockley in South East London to Faversham in Kent. We transitioned from a fun, slightly chaotic life in London to a slower wilder life that is far more connected to mother nature. Here I share the ways we are trying to live more seasonally, joyfully and stylishly too- now with our toddler, Auden in the mix too.
I am a freelance events and interiors stylist with published work in Ideal Home, Homes & Antiques, Mollie Makes magazine, and many more. See more of my work here.
About my blog
My blog is all about my love of soulful interiors, living creatively and celebrating the seasons. I give advice about styling your home or event, and I also give loads of tips about journalling, writing and planning because i’m one of those multi passionate, multi hyphen slashie types. I'll also share snippets of my family life, inspirational interiors and our seasonal celebrations.
Interiors was one of my first loves. As a child and teenager I spent an inordinate amount of time arranging and rearranging my bedroom furniture. I fear I peaked age 14 with lime green and lilc walls and an inflatable chair and a large artful collection of collaged Leonardo DiCaprio posters. I started this blog to talk about my love of interiors and London life in my twenties. It eventually led to me quitting my 9-5 to become a freelance interiors and events stylist and writer; something I am incredibly grateful for! I find and style beautiful real homes for top interiors magazines, am hired by brands to help them express their unique stories through styling and create beautiful events too.
I also work directly with brands in my capacity as a blogger and 'influencer'.
Similarly to interiors, writing was one of my first loves. Writing is an umbrella term that covers writing editorial content, but also content around planning, goal setting and productivity. All of these writing methods help me to to stay healthy, happy and creatively inspired, and I’m passionate about sharing those techniques with others.
Why celebrate the seasons?
Not only is it fun to find things to celebrate, aside from Birthdays and Christmas, it is also good- and necessary- for us to be more aligned with what’s happening in nature; to eat seasonally, to be sympathetic to our natural environment, to look after the birds. Crafting, preparing and enjoying these seasonal celebrations is often precious family time, and helps children to learn about nature and appreciating and looking after the planet. Celebrating Mayday or mid-summer or Autumn helps us to notice and appreciate the quiet little things that are all around us all the time. It helps us to be present, mindful and thankful. It also brings a bit of magic to our kids’ childhood, and, to be honest, to our adulthoods too.
My blog was started over a decade ago as a hobby side project and has evolved into being a kay part of my full time freelance work.
