Celebrating London in Bloom with St Martins Courtyard and Mercer Walk.
On Friday I was very excited to head to London as a guest of St Martin’s Courtyard and Mercer Walk, a stones throw away from Covent Garden, to celebrate London In Bloom as part of this week’s Chelsea Flower Show. From flower arranging classes at the Academy of Flowers, fragrant scents from The White Company, floral cocktails at Dalla Terra and dreamy craft supplies from London Graphic Centre, St Martin’s Courtyard and Mercer Walk are in one of my favourite areas of London to visit. I’ll show you my highlights below. For those of us who are unable to make it to Chelsea this week, I thought i'd include some also take home floral tips too. As usual, all links will be at the end of the blog post.
I used to walk through Covent garden every day for years when I lived in London, but I haven’t been back in the city, for anything other than a really busy styling job with no downtime, for months and months. I also haven’t taken myself shopping for pleasure, in over a year! So spending a rare morning shopping making and drinking cocktails was flipping lovely.
Spring Decorating Ideas Around The House With House of Fraser
This winter has been long and cold. The UK has had unprecedented ice and snow right up until this normally mild month of April.
But finally, Spring is starting to make herself heard and we couldn’t be happier to nod along to her chorus.
I reckon Spring is as good a reason as any to have a celebration, no? Spring flowers, spring food, pink gin cocktails, yes? There is so much delicious seasonal food around at the moment and the May bank holiday and Royal Wedding (if you're into that sort of thing) is round the corner too.
Early Spring table inspiration…
This week we celebrate St Valentines Day, Galentines Day AND Pancake day, *does a quick frantic dance*, so feasting has been taking up many of my waking thoughts, and even featured in my dreams (not even a joke!) I'm hopefully heading to a girlfriends house this eve to hang with some of my besties, and Dave and I will have a meal cooked at home this week at some point too. Galentines and Valentines don't have to be tat-fests, and they also do not have to be celebrated today/tomorrow. If you feel so inspired, you could arrange a gathering of gals/a dinner with your loved one, at any point this month. I personally love a pink themed dinner, or pink cocktails .
So with thoughts of feasting, a newly stocked props cupboard and a new studio, I set up a photoshoot to shoot some styling ideas for you.
Super Budget Rental Kitchen Makeover
The kitchen is our proudest achievement in our rental house- we did it all for about £300! We wanted to update it as it was pretty grim, and we knew we'd be in this house for at least a couple of years as we save to buy a house. Here’s how we did it!
